I like to learn languages. Not only English, but I am also interested in learning other foreign languages. There are three reasons why I like to learn languages.
　The first reason is that language is an important tool for communicating with people from other countries. I went to an international school in the Netherland as a child. Therefore, I know that English is a language many people around the world understand and that it is important not to shy away from learning it. I like communicating with various people. That is why I want to improve my English.
　The second reason why I like learning languages is that each language has different systems for writing and making sounds. I first became interested in languages when I saw the Thai characters. I was surprised that such snake-like characters were used in daily life. Also, different languages use completely different vocalization methods and pronunciations. There are many languages, characters, and sounds in the world. It is interesting to learn what kind of characters and sounds are used in each country.
　Thirdly, I like the fact that each language reflects the culture of a country. When I learn a language, I also want to learn about the culture of the country where the language is spoken because it helps me learn the language more deeply. Also, there is a culture that can only be experienced by being able to speak the language and actually talking to the locals. Now I am learning German at university. I want to improve my German more and become able to communicate with local people someday.
　I love learning languages. I would like to continue learning them throughout my life.

　私は語学を学ぶことが好きだ。英語に限らず、その他の外国語を学ぶことにも興味がある。私が語学が好きな理由は３つある。
　一つ目は、言語が外国の人とコミュニケーションがとれる大事なツールだからだ。私は小さい時、オランダのインターナショナルスクールに通ってた。だからこそ、英語は世界のたくさんの人たちとのコミュニケーションツールであることを理解していた。そして、英語を学ぶことに苦手意識を持たない大切さを知った。私はいろんな人とコミュニケーションをとることが好きだ。だからこそ、もっと流暢に喋れるように英語力を高めたい。
　そして、語学を学ぶ好きな二つ目の理由は、それぞれの言語ごとに、文法・発声のルールが違って面白いからだ。私が言語に興味を持ったきっかけは、タイの文字を見た時だ。こんなヘビみたいな文字が日常的に使われていることを知って衝撃を受けた。また、国によって全然違う発声方法を用いたり、発音をする。世界には国の数だけそこで使われる言葉があり、いろんな文字がある。どんな国でその文字が使われているのか、どういう文法の言語なのか、実際に学んで知ることは面白い。
　タイ文字を見たときだ。こんな蛇のような文字が日常生活で使われていることにとても衝撃を受けた。 また、言語が異なれば、発声方法や発音もまったく異なる。世界にはたくさんの言語、文字、発声がある。それぞれ各国でどのような文字や音が使われているのかを知ることはとても興味深い。
　最後に三つ目は、それぞれの言語には、その国の歴史や文化が反映されているからだ。私はその国の文化を学びながら、言語を学ぶことが好きだ。なぜならその国のことをもっと深く知ることができるからだ。またその土地の言語を喋れるようになり、実際に現地で現地の人と喋ることでしか体験できない文化がある。私は今、大学でドイツ語を学んでいる。ドイツ語をもっと上達させて実際に現地で、現地の人とコミュニケーションを取りたい。
　このように私は言語を学ぶことが好きだ。これからの人生でも、興味のある言語を学び続けていきたいと思う。
