Department of Housing and Architecture

The Department of Housing and Architecture consists of two majors namely “Housing Design and Planning” and “Architectural Design.” Both majors share the Department’s guiding principle of studying the practical relationship between human beings and the built environment, in other words from the standpoint of those who dwell within that environment. Students gain a solid academic footing in the many scientific fields necessary to understand the present environment and to create a better social and built environment for future inhabitants, as well as basic practical skills. The architecture major is accredited by JABEE (Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education).
